From March 10th to March 12th, ROBIN attended the Wind Energy and Wildlife impact Conference in Berlin, Germany.
ROBIN participated with a booth as well as a trailer-based 3D flex avian radar, which was on display at the front gate of the Conference centre. The Conference was hosted at the facilities of the Berlin Institute of Technology.
The main objective of the conference was to consolidate the state of research in the field of wind and wildlife interactions both on- and offshore. Topics to be covered were: cumulative effects, wind farms in wooded areas and the efficiency of avoidance and mitigation measures.
The Conference was attended by a few hundred participants in ecological research and consultancy firms, project managers, developers and other representatives of the wind energy industry.
