Robin Radar Systems is thrilled to welcome our new Chief Operations Officer (COO), Marianne van Putten. Drawing from a wealth of experience, Marianne will strengthen operational processes and help to maintain the collaborative culture that makes us Robin.
Marianne brings over 20 years of experience in leading and optimising operations in technology and industrial sectors. With a diverse background in applied mathematics, consultancy, and hands-on leadership roles across multiple industries, Marianne will play a pivotal part in shaping Robin’s expansive operations.
Our new COO will also guide an operational environment where every Robin feels engaged, trusted, and responsible.
An Approach that Champions Efficiency
A key area Marianne is excited to tackle is operational efficiency.
She emphasises the importance of balancing flexibility with standardisation to create smooth processes. She said: "My aim is to ensure that our team can deliver the best possible service to our customers while preparing to scale further," she explains.
"I want everyone at Robin to feel empowered to drive structural improvements in their work, while ensuring they align with our overall goals."
Her passion for operational efficiency and problem-solving was ignited in the heart of the port of Rotterdam, where she applied her background in mathematics to optimise container storage in the terminal.
Marianne later transitioned to McKinsey as a consultant, advising an array of companies. During her five-year tenure, she also completed an MBA and honed skills in leading large-scale operational performance programs.
After consulting, she joined Maersk Line and later moved to ASML. At ASML, she got to grips with scaling challenges within high-tech innovation, putting her in familiar territory for Robin’s current growth trajectory.
Why Robin Radar?
Marianne was pulled towards Robin’s clear societal purpose, tangible products, and the team's entrepreneurial spirit.
"Trust, transparency, and responsibility align closely with my personal values, and Robin Radar has a strong foundation which I'm looking forward to build upon further," she said.
“The technology we develop serves a real and meaningful purpose for society, and the strong sense of teamwork at Robin is something I want to help nurture as we continue to grow.
"I experienced that for myself from my first week. People have gone out of their way to introduce themselves, help me get up to speed, and make me feel like part of the team."
